Welcome to Common Language Bookstore
Final Closing Date for the Bricks and Mortar Common Language Bookstore
We are proud to have been stewards of Common Language Bookstore since 2003. It has been a privilege and honor to be a part of an important part of LGBT culture both locally and across the nation. There are only about 10 LGBT bookstores remaining in the U.S. and Canada. We have managed to be one of the survivors until now.
We originally planned a December 31st closing. We have been getting weekly reprieves. However, there are no more reprieves. This Sunday, February 10th will be the last day for the store.
The good news is that we will continue an online presence for at least the near future. Over the next weeks I will update the website for some of the newest LGBT books. After all, one of the many points of having an LGBT bookstore is to have curated selections.
In the meantime, we hope those of you in the area will be able to stop in for a final visit.
